Okay, so it's two weeks old. But I know there are some Dream Theater fans here, and want to get their take.

It's interesting to see how their musical style has changed since Portnoy left. This song sounds very similar to much of Dramatic Turn of Events, while not a bad thing, that album seemed to be the same song recycled over and over. I'm a huge DT fan, but I seem to be finding myself listening to their older stuff far more than their new stuff, especially post-Portnoy.
I'll still buy the new album when it comes out, and if they come to Australia, I'll go and see them again. They are still a great band!

Who the hell let Mangini use that hideous 80's snare drum? Thunk thunk thunk....sheesh.
I'm with you ASheep, I have been listening to the really old stuff a lot more. Most of the newer stuff lacks the refinement so to speak of the older music that DT is built on. But progress i suppose.
